
Liam Day
Forte
William (Liam) Day, a graduate of The Juilliard School and the Cleveland Institute of Music, is a trumpet player and educator. As an associate musician with the Metropolitan Opera and substitute trumpet with the New York Philharmonic, recently Liam has been doing most of his performing at Lincoln Center. Liam has toured China and the US with the New York Philharmonic and can also be heard on recordings including several live releases on Apple Music and Spotify. You can also see and hear Liam on the MET Opera’s recent broadcast of Verdi’s Requiem that reopened the Metropolitan Opera in 2021.
Since January 2021, Liam has been on the founding team and is the Music and Education Director for Forte, an online video conferencing platform designed for music education. With Forte, Liam has overseen successful online seminars with teachers from Curtis, The Royal College of Music, Berklee College of Music and the Aspen Music Festival and School. Forte has radically transformed what music teachers can accomplish online with Forte Pure Audio, and Liam’s eyes and ears are the foundation of that technology. Forte recently secured a major venture capital investment ensuring that Forte will continue to be at the forefront of online music education.
