Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music

Dr. Cherie Khor holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Manhattan School of Music, under the tutelage of Dr. Marc Silverman. Winner of the National Piano and Violin Competition in Singapore, as well as the 9th Hong Kong Piano Open Competition, she has performed in numerous venues around the world including Singapore, Slovenia, Slovakia, UK, Hong Kong, Japan, and Australia. Recordings of her performances have been broadcast on WQXR and WWFM, the classical music radio stations serving New York and New Jersey respectively. She has played in masterclasses with numerous pedagogues including John Perry, Menahem Pressler, Dang Thai Son, Marian Hahn, and Ruth Slenczynska.

She is a recipient of the National Arts Council Overseas Arts Bursary (Singapore), and the Presidential Scholarship Award and Helen Cohn Award (for outstanding graduate of the Doctor of Musical Arts degree) from Manhattan School of Music. She is currently on the faculty of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music and the School of The Arts, Singapore.
